Yearly Baba wedding tradition to take place in June 2019

PHUKET: A press conference was hold today (April 19) at Blue Elephant by Phuket officials to announce the yearly colorful Baba wedding ceremony. The event gathered members of the local government and businesses which support the traditional wedding, together with many local families, all dressed up in Peranakan style. There was a demonstration of ‘Pang Tae’, which is the ceremony when the bride and groom serve tea to the parents and get blessed. Songkran No Alcohol 2019

This year’s Songkran No Alcohol, or Songkran ‘No L’, celebration will take place on Dibuk Road, covering the area of Limelight Avenue Phuket and the 72nd Anniversary Queen Sirikit Park, in Phuket Town. The peaceful water festival offers a free concert with a mix of DJ and live bands. Road and Marine Safety Center kicks off

PHUKET: The Road and Marine Safety Center for Songkran Festival has kicked off on April 10 at the Provincial Hall in Phuket Town, chaired by Phuket Vice Governors, K. Prakob Wongmaneerung, K. Thanyawat Chanpinit, and K. Supot Rodruang Na Nongkai. “Songkran is a long public holiday and the roads are busier than usual, which results in an increasing number of accidents. TAT continues “Thailand Travel Shield” insurance project

BANGKOK: The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) recently announced the continuation of the Thailand Travel Shield insurance project to provide online travel insurance for foreign tourists. K. Phuket Hospitality Challenge 2019

The 4th edition of the Phuket Hospitality Challenge, a charity golf tournament, is brought back to you by ASEAN Events and Fore Management Group and will be hosted on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Laguna Golf Phuket, in Cherng Talay.
