PHUKET: The annual beauty pageant contest 'Miss Mom Phuket 2019', originally created on the island of Phuket, has announced its 4th competition to the press on May 15, 2019, at the Ramada Plaza Phuket Chaofa Hotel, in Phuket Town. Off-the-beaten-track destinations in Thailand experiencing explosive Airbnb growth

PHUKET: New data released today highlights how the Airbnb community is helping grow tourism in off-the-beaten-track destinations across Thailand and the Asia Pacific, and helping spread the benefits of tourism beyond big cities and major tourism hotspots. Off-the-beaten-track destinations in Thailand grew by 53% year-on-year, with some areas like Rawai growing by more than 92% year-on-year. Airbnb hosts outside of big cities and major tourist destinations in APAC earned nearly US$1bn through the Airbnb platform in 2018. 12 million guests checked into Airbnb listings in these destinations in 2018, growing 70% year-over-year. Meet Paul Halford, new General Manager of OZO Phuket

BANGKOK: The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) recently hosted 40 top tour operators and travel experts from five Central and Latin American countries for the first ever fam trip and business networking session in Thailand. Taking place from April 27 to May 7, the event incorporated with Emirates Airlines, Turkish Airlines, and Bangkok Airways for the travel trade from this region. International Jazz Day 2019

The International Jazz Day 2019 was hosted on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Music Matter Jazz Club, in Phuket Town. Despite a heavy rain at the start of the event, music lovers and jazz aficionados came in numbers to listen to the eleven bands performing that night. 40 performers took turn on stage, from countries like Belgium, Hungary, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, Ireland, the United States, Singapore, Mauritius, Wales, England, and of course, Thailand.
