29 eateries in Thailand win Michelin Stars for 2020

BANGKOK: On November 12, 2019, Michelin announced the winners of Michelin Star and Bib Gourmand distinctions; together with the official launch of the third edition of The Michelin Guide in Thailand, entitled The Michelin Guide Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket & Phang-Nga 2020. TAT announces winners of Responsible Thailand Awards 2019

LONDON: Four Thai hotels and resorts, an elephant sanctuary and a non-governmental organization promoting community-based tourism have been conferred the Responsible Thailand Awards 2019 in recognition of their commitment to sustainable and responsible tourism. TAT, Expedia Group, and UNESCO launch Sustainable Environment Pledge

BANGKOK: The TAT, together with the Expedia Group and the UNESCO, are launching a global sustainable environment initiative, the UNESCO Sustainable Tourism Pledge, to reduce single-use plastic whilst promoting local cultural and community activities in Thailand. The pledge renews an existing MOU agreement between TAT and Expedia that began in September 2018 and saw both parties working closely to attract international tourists to emerging secondary destinations; such as, Chiang Rai and Mae Hong Son.
