PHUKET: A new art exhibition, called “Contrasts”, has officially opened at the Ramada Plaza Chao Fah hotel, in Phuket Town. Two local artists are currently exhibiting their works, which stand at the opposite ends of the spectrum, hence the name.

Ramada Plaza Chao Fah has now turned into an art gallery, Art @ Chao Fah, which can be found on the mezzanine floor of the lobby. The Grand Opening of the exhibition was held yesterday, August 26, with the presence of Phuket Vice Governor, K. Thanyawat Chanpinit, French Honorary Consul, Claude de Crissey, and the General Manager of Ramada Plaza Chao Fah, Eddy Brosse.

The first round of exhibition, titled “Contrasts”, showcases the work of two local artists, members of the Phuket Art Club; K. Monthian (Mon) Yangthong and K. Mekphat (Oh) Srinantaphan. The former specializes in black & white, realistic canvas of nature, especially palm trees, while K. Oh’s focus is in colorful abstracts, taking inspiration from the gorgeous sunsets Phuket has to offer.

The art gallery is open to public 24/7, and the Contrasts exhibition can be seen until October 11, 2019. Parking available directly at the hotel.
