On July 25, 2019, Phuketify was invited to the Gardens Gastronomy Bar, in Phuket Town, for the launch and reveal of the leading Norwegian craft gin in Phuket: Harahorn Norwegian Small Batch Gin. A selection of media and cocktails connoisseurs gathered at the mixology venue to discover some unique flavors delivered by the Norwegian spirit.
Det Norske Brenneri, which can be translated as The Norwegian Distiller, is the largest private distiller in Norway and produces some 1.8 million bottles annually from its Grimstad base, in Southern Norway.
“We distill the essence of traditional craftsmanship, using only the best Norwegian ingredients. The success of Harahorn domestically and in export markets is a direct result of this, including numerous awards at prestigious trade shows worldwide,” stated Brian Beattie, Managing Director of Nordic Bev Asia, who represents a range of Norwegian companies globally.
Harahorn has quickly become a multiple Gold and double Gold winning products. It is a spirit forward, aromatic gin made using a traditional maceration method. While there are some traditional botanicals, the use of uniquely Norwegian ingredients, such as seaweed, set the spirits apart. The Harahorn family includes the traditional Harahorn Gin, the Harahorn Pink Gin and the Harahorn Cask Aged Gin, all made with Norwegian method and flair.
