Chef Weerawat ‘Num’ Triyasenawat, one of Thailand’s most acclaimed chefs, will be foraging from the savanna, gardens and seashores of Koh Phra Thong to prepare a seasonal and truly local menu. The dining experience will take place on December 4, 2019, at the Clubhouse of the Golden Buddha Beach Resort, on Phra Thong island. Enjoy a unique and memorable 7-course set menu and a welcome drink for THB 2,000 per person.

Chef Num is the Chef and Owner of Samuay & Sons, a critically acclaimed restaurant located in the Isan region of Thailand, in the city of Udon Thani. Chef Num prides himself on the use of the best local, seasonal ingredients, prepared in ways that reference Thai dishes from the past and present, and in doing so, creating dishes for the future.

Away from the tourist crowds, Koh Phra Thong is gloriously unspoiled. It is the only place in Thailand where you can see both a savanna and a rain forest ecosystem. On this large, but barely inhabited island, you can experience dense tropical vegetation, sandy beaches, savanna plains, and all of these within very close reach of the Golden Buddha Beach Resort. This uniqueness makes Koh Phra Thng the perfect location for Chef Num’s philosophy of using local, seasonal and sustainably foraged ingredients. On Chef Num’s visit last year, we ate sea urchins from Hornbill Hill, Oy Gan from Ta Paye Yai and catfish from the ponds in the savanna.

Chef Num and the Golden Buddha Beach Resort invite you to join them on December 4, 2019, at the Clubhouse. With spectacular, romantic views over the ocean, they will offer you a truly unique occasion to enjoy amazing food and a majestic sunset.

To commemorate this event, the resort will offer a 33% discount on room nights, should you wish to extend the pleasure a while longer.
