Da Puccio Restaurant is a traditional Italian restaurant located in Soi Khokmakham, in Rawai, right at the entrance of the temple’s gate. It has been operating for several years now and has become a favorite of all the locals and expatriates living in the area, to the point where it became the number one pizzeria in Phuket on TripAdvisor.

The restaurant welcomes guests for lunch and dinner on its large terrace, which can easily accommodate 30+ people, and also have an inside area with air-conditioning should the weather be too hot. The atmosphere is rather neutral but clean, and clearly the focus here is on the food, not the paintings, which is fine because the food certainly does not disappoint.

Of course, the main focus is on the pizzas, which comes in all shapes and forms. From the traditional Margarita to the more exquisite Frutti di Mare, all the ingredients are carefully selected to ensure you leave the place with a positive impression. But the owner, Enrico, likes to go beyond the tradition and has created a selection of pizza using local ingredients as well as offering some surprising combination, such as the Meta Pizza, which is a mix between a pizza and a calzone.

Aside from the delicious pizzas, you will find an array of pasta, all paired with homemade sauces, and a good choice of appetizers and main courses, such as Bruschette and the classic Vitello Tonato.

Da Puccio Restaurant also offers some Thai dishes as well, just to make sure everyone will find something they love to eat.

The prices are extremely reasonable for a restaurant that provides such a high quality in its food, with pizzas starting at THB 180 and pastas at THB 150 per plate.

The only issue may be the parking, which can be difficult as the reputation of the venue makes it often fully booked. It’s always best to arrive around 6:30-7:00 sharp to ensure you’ll get a close spot.
