Bebop Live Music Bar is the only place to be if you fancy listening on the best jazz and blues music there is in Phuket. Located on Takuapa Road in Phuket Old Town, the venue, relatively small, is packed with both locals and foreigners alike, who come to enjoy the delightful sounds played by the talented musicians. The quality of the music is certainly their main selling point, but there is much more to discover about this place. The overall atmosphere is similar to entering one of your friends’ house; people are talking to each other, meeting with strangers is encouraged, and you are more than welcome to grab one of the numerous instruments and play along or sing a song with the band.

The menu has a nice offering of beverage and cocktails, and a surprisingly affordable wine list, including some bubbly as well. The price is on par with the other places in Phuket Town, and you can even order some snacks, such as French Fries and Prawns Nuggets, if you feel hungry while dancing the night away. One of the owner, Boy, who is also playing in the band, can often be seen in other properties in Phuket as the band is not limited to this venue.

Bebop has become an extremely successful spot over the last few years, so it is advised to arrive early if you wish to find a seat for you and your friends.

One downside, however, as with all the other venues in this area, is to find a parking spot. While arriving early certainly helps, you may have to park your car in one of the parallel roads, such as Bangkok Road, and walk your way to their venue. Believe us, a four-five minute walk to reach the place is well worth the effort, as you will embark on a musical journey like no other in Phuket.
