Grand Opening of Samran Restaurant

On July 17, 2020, the team of Phuketify and The Guide Phuket were invited to the grand opening of Samran Restaurant, on Soi Takuapa, in Phuket Town. Most of you should be familiar where the old Suay restaurant used to be; it has now been rebranded as Samran, and focuses on casual Isaan food served with ice cold beers (or your favorite cocktail). The selection of food was fantastic and the prices are of good value, especially considering the atmosphere of the main dining room and the lovely garden upfront. Launch of Utopia Yamu

On July 11, 2020, Utopia Corporation gathered media and real estate partners at the Utopia Nai Harn Hotel to reveal the upcoming project: Utopia Yamu, a Moroccan-inspired development located within the heart of Cape Yamu. Phuket Relaunch Event

On June 20, 2020, the restaurant Dock A Café, located in Boat Lagoon, hosted an event titled "Phuket Relaunch", to celebrate the return of some sort of normalcy. From 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, the guests enjoyed a large selection of beverage, including Nitro Cold Brew by coffeeworks, and fantastic wines from OVS. In addition to the refreshments, the team of Naughty Nuri's Phuket answered present to serve probably the best ribs in the world. Animal activist petitions Thai government to help starving elephants

BANGKOK: Susan Field, a British citizen residing in Koh Samui, today presented a petition with almost 65,000 signatures to the Thai Government today asking them to provide urgent financial aid for elephants and their handlers who have received no income since tourists disappeared at the start of COVID-19. “The future for elephants in Thailand looks extremely grim. In order to make a few baht, the mahouts may take their elephants back to begging in the streets or other cruel and degrading activities,” said Field, adding “Do these magnificent animals, your national symbol, deserve this? Phuket tourism representatives announce projects to revive the industry

PHUKET: A tourism press conference titled ‘Finally We Meet Again!’ was held yesterday (June 9) at the Jungceylon Shopping Mall on the first day of Phuket’s beaches re-opening, since all beaches across the island had been locked down with regards to the COVID-19 situation. The Phuket’s branch of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, alongside Patong Municipality and Phuket Tourism Association, announced their joined project ‘Phuket Great Time’ (www.phuketgreattime.com), which is a channel where local tourism-related businesses can promote themselves.
