PHUKET: Marriott International’s hotels and resorts in Phuket, under their Spirit to Serve program, recently joined forces with the Scholars of Sustenance Foundation (SOS) to donate food to people in the local community. Under this important CSR initiative, the general managers and chefs from five hotels came together with the SOS Rescue Kitchen team to prepare 600 three-course meals. These were then packed in reusable food containers at The Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa Phuket and distributed to the people in the communities around Sriphuwanart Park and in Phuket Town. On July 17, 2020, the team of Phuketify and The Guide Phuket were invited to the grand opening of Samran Restaurant, on Soi Takuapa, in Phuket Town. Most of you should be familiar where the old Suay restaurant used to be; it has now been rebranded as Samran, and focuses on casual Isaan food served with ice cold beers (or your favorite cocktail).
